Are you a Catholic 18 or older and wish to prepare for Confirmation and Communion?
Do you wish to prepare yourself to be baptized into the Catholic faith and community?
Do you simply want to know more about the Scriptures (the Bible) and about your Catholic faith, and renew your participation?
The
Stay With Us program at OLPH will help you. We meet on three Mondays each month – the first, second and third. We meet from 7:30 to 9:00 in the evening at the Rectory, 526 59
th Street.
We begin each meeting by opening the Scripture readings for the coming Sunday. We read them aloud, we talk about them and we can share with each other what they mean to us. This is an excellent way of knowing Jesus Christ more deeply, and the teaching he has given us to live by.
During the meeting we also at a topic in our Catholic faith, to understand it better.
You can join us at a Monday meeting right away, to see what it’s like. Studying the Gospels and the Bible is a good beginning.
We can help to figure out a schedule for you, depending on what you need. We ask for the time of each person who wants to sign up. We do not take “shortcuts.”

"As they approached the village to which they were going,
Jesus gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him,
'Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.' ”
